“Countable”と“Uncountable”の違い
“cake”はどちらにも使えます。
ただし、”cake”は単数形なので、”is”となります。
“some”は数えられる名詞と数えられない名詞の両方に使えます。

“There is”の疑問文
“Is there a cake on the table?” 机の上にケーキはありますか？
疑問文では”Is there”になります。ただし、”there”は主語ではありません。

可算名詞と不可算名詞を区別するためには、名詞の単数形・複数形を確認しましょう。
“some cakes” → “There are some cakes”（可算名詞の複数形）

数を尋ねる表現
数を尋ねる際は、”How many 複数名詞”を使用します。
“How many students are there in your class?” あなたのクラスには生徒は何人いますか？
many（数）と much（量）の使い分けポイント
“much”と”many”の使い方
“many”の後ろは可算名詞の複数形、”much”の後ろは不可算名詞の単数形です。
“How many players” → “Are there many players?”
“How much money” → “Is there much money?”
